Black Eyed Peas ended up performing backstage to around 80 people
A benefit concert in New York's Central Park at which Black Eyed Peas were scheduled to perform was cancelled due to severe thunderstorms.
Natasha Bedingfield, LL Cool J and Debbie Harry on the event's line-up, expected to have brought 60,000 spectators to the park's Great Lawn.
It was initially delayed an hour before being called off.
The Robin Hood Foundation, organisers of the Concert 4 NYC, blamed "inclement weather" for the cancellation.
"I'm so sad the show got postponed," said Peas member will.i.am on Twitter.
The band ended up performing an "intimate" show for around 80 people backstage, the singer and producer revealed.
Writing on Twitter before the cancellation, British singer Bedingfield said it was "chucking down" and that it "feels like London".
It is unclear whether the charity - dedicated to "targeting poverty in New York City" - plans to hold the event at a later date.
